Relating to An Echo in the Dark
While researching and making my film it is important that I remember ethics and codes. The issues I am tackling in my short film is a subject that a lot of people will have had contact with in the past and that is drug use. Whether taken some or knows people who has taken some illegal, non-prescription drugs have very much become a part of modern day culture in the united kingdom.
Issues I might face:
Sensitive issues and traumatic experiences: People may have been involved in such a subject or incident and it is important not to glamourise the events in anyway. While talking to people about their experiences it may mean talking about things that are against the law that make that person uncomfortable.
Drugs and firearms on the street. Using a firearm on the street is very dangerous. I am hoping to have a policeman who can help on set if there is any passers by who may believe a real drug deal is happening as opposed to one on film.
